I'll second that. There is a LOT of material that 'can' be removed on the front right primary side where it turns to feed the runners for cylinders 1,4,6 and 7..... how much material is removed, and how it's contoured, may affect the flow balance of the manifold..... for the better or the worse. A flow bench is the only way to know for sure if it's done correctly. I took a chance on my own intake. Here's the area I'm talking about.... It hasn't been flow tested, so I can't say if my mods are right or wrong. (you've been warned!):grin:
A belated reply to Andy (CameoInvicta): If you want to see what a 322 can be - try to scarf a copy of HOT ROD DELUXE magazine; November 2009. There is an excellent article on building a 322. How's 325 HP and 385 ft/lbs of torque? Yup, that's right - more then 1 hp per cubic inch out of a streetable nailhead!
