    Thanks Ted,

71 confirmed dead so far but it is expected to go a lot higher, there are still about 300 people missing.

To top it off some lo-life has burgled a victims home.

John......hang in there my friend....and carry on......there are people following you.....

Here's a few pictures of the header seal up.....after input from V8Buick members i decided to used the Fel-Pro metal/composite? stock manifold gaskets with some Permetex ULTRA-Copper RTV style sealant.........

I used Chevy 1" ARP stainless 12pt header bolts.......bought a Sears "Gear Drive" wrench thinking it would help.....no help at all....took it back the next day.Had to "thin down" the box end on a wrench i already had in the tool box....it worked perfect. That wrench will reside in the console from now on

Tried to lay down a nice even layer on each side of the gasket......then let them hang and set up for about an hour.......slid them in and every thing tightened up perfect :TU:

Clearance on passenger side is 1/4"....less on drivers side :(

I'll let the headers "clearance" themselves but here's the way it sits right now......

Checked the Air cleaner clearance and it still looks good......

    more soon.......

    Bill,

It looks like you're running staggered sized tires on your blue cat, what size rims are those, and what size tires?

Where do those two hoses go that come out at the corner? On my tank they're about a foot long and folded over, and that's it. ???

Those are the tank vent hoses.....they are strapped to the body and go up to the top of the rear axle arch.Very important that they are mounted correctly in the stock location :Smarty:

Your current carb problems may be because these hoses are closed off and you probably have a non-vented gas tank cap so a vacuum is being created by the fuel pump....just a thought.
