Does anyone know who makes the correct wood grain for the instrument bezel? I just rec'd this part from OPG who switched suppliers and the wood doesn't match the console wood that I got form them recently...it's not even close in color or grain. Any help to find who has the right stuff would be appreciated.
theres a guy on ebay that might help you. im trying to recall his id,i think it was misterjegs or mistergs anyway type in wood grain kit and look for him and if you dont see what you need ask him as he has some not advertised. i cant swear as to the grain or color..let me know marty
Thanks for your help and I have spoken with Greg Sutter. He ia also mistergs. Seems it is going to be challenging as the console and dash matching color and grain. Greg only makes the dash kit and stopped making the console kit at this time.
another possibility is an outfit i beleive called old buick cars or cars inc. google it. they arent the freindliest but i know they sell some woodgrain kits but it seems as though the grain itself doesnt match sometimes best to replace all i think, marty
What are we to do with the console now that Greg isn't providing them anymore? What is the problem material? I would hate to buy a dash kit and then a console kit from someone else and have them not match. WTH?
anyone want to see if we can get a order together and see if Greg will do one more run ??? I could use a complete set myself for dash and console
I spoke with Greg and he WILL make a limited run for US. He explained that the suppliers that buy most of his stock do not care if they match or not That means Year One, TPP and Cars, So I'll leave it up to Greg to start a thread about the run. I am going in for more than one set so I can have matching woodgrain. This should not be that hard. I wonder if the door panels I have will have the darker incorrect woodgrain? I guess I need to drag them out.
