I've delt with Torque Tech throughout the years so at this time the plan is to order in one of there systems.

That's great!! I know I'm half way across the state, but hopefully I'll get a chance to see it run. Would love to see the car in person, it's the exact style I want to build my car.

    Todd,

Too much suspense with this build. Get that thing to the track and let us know what it runs!

PS I just looked over your site again, and I used to have a "mention" on there, but now I have been eliminated. Man, I cant get any press for the life of me!! :ball:

    Jim,
Your car was a HUGE inspiration for my build up!

I hope to have mine at the track sometime this spring. I just wish I had the funds for the "Ported" Stage 1 motor sitting in my garage. For now the stocker will have to do.

If you can provide me with a couple photos of your car I'd be more than happy to post some tid bits (Press) regarding your car on my website! :TU:

We need to take a couple hundred pounds off your car so you can get that 9 Second Slip!!

Is your aim to run this GS at a FAST event?
If so, come to Martin Michigan for the Fast and Pure Stock shootout
in late June, lots of great cars and racers.

No plans to aim for anything this coming summer. For now I just want to get it to the track with the Stock Motor and get the bugs worked out. The funds are not there for a F.A.S.T. level motor so that may be another year or so.

I have a local guy interested in my GSX so if that sells that will help speed up the process!! Keeping my fingers crossed.

I would love to attend some of those races in the future though!!

Hey Todd was just wondering if you ever got your exhaust squared away. What is the latest now that the yellow one is sold?

I will be ordering an exhaust kit pretty soon!

At this point I'm still finishing up with the sale and transport of my GSX.

I hope to get the Green GS up and running in September. Maybe have it to the track sometime in October. Otherwise next spring FOR SURE!!!

With the economy still slow I need to spend my money wisely. It's definately close to being road ready though!

Was just checking, haven't heard anything in a while.
What track do you run? Are you gonna let us know when you go?
    Thanks,
    Steve

The closest Track is Rock Falls raceway. (located about 10 minutes from Eau Claire)

Exhaust system is ordered and due here next week!

    Update:

My GSX has sold which will now allow me to get this car up and running. No BIG motor just yet but I expect the car will run fairly well with a stock motor due to the car being pretty light.

The Exhaust system is here and hopefully can be installed within the next week or two. (Just depends on how busy my fabricator is) With any luck I'll have it to the track later this fall!

Thanks to everyone that has followed the build up. Sorry it's taking so long.

I plan to post some more pictures soon as well.

Do you think you will get a 1/4 mile pass this fall?

I sure hope so. I will not rush it though. I want to make sure it's ready to run before taking it to the track. Even with a stock 1971 motor I hope it runs "respectable".

    Update: 9-29-2011

Exhaust system is mounted and turned out great. Looks good - Sounds good!

Paint was buffed out for the 2nd time and the car looks super.

About the only thing left is a front end alignment which is scheduled for next week.

Everything appears to be working which after doing a frame off resto is pretty cool. Still not sure if it will see the track this fall as I'd really like to get some "seat time" before taking it down the 1/4 mile wide open. Next spring for sure though.

Thanks to the economy this project has taken way longer than I would have liked but I'm happy to say NO shortcuts have been taken to this point. If the money wasn't there I simply waited. Not sure how strong it will run with the "Base" motor that's in the car now but it's light enough to easily run in the 10's with a properly ported - stock appearing motor.

Thanks to everyone that has checked it out.
