I'm trying to help a friend locate a nice grill for his '67 GS. I realize it may be a long shot, but let me know what you have. Thanks, Bob
You can buy a repro grill from the Parts Place or Year One. Buying a used grill is tough, I've bought several and they have always been repaired, usually a mediocre or poor job.
I have had a repro on order from Marke Reeves for over 3 months. I called Year One yesterday and they told me it would be at least 2 months. How is the quality, fit and finish of the repro grills? Any cracks or issues? Can you send price and pics to me at robert.smith@maquet-inc.com ? Thanks
There is a small crack but the studs are all in place.. I purchased a new one because my car is being restored and wanted a new look..
Bob - You asked about the quality, fit and finish for the repro's. I am using a grill from TPP. It s excellent. The indents for the top and bottom stainless tabs were off by maybe an 1/8th inch, so it's not 100% perfect - but I'd give it a 99%! I am very happy with it after more than a year. Of course the grill comes with no trim, so the appearence is very dependent on the quality of the trim you use. - Bill
