Not sure how much interest there will be in this. I'm certainly not a golfer! My dad used to have a Buick & GMC Dealership in Leitchfield, KY back in the 60s-80s. One of the promotional items he used to give away with new vehicles were 24k gold plated putters. The two he found in his attic are brand new and in very good condition. I can't tell one from the other. Both have a GMC logo on the horizontal surface you can see from the putting position and have "Compliments of Duvall Motors" on an inlay plaque on the vertical surface at a golf ball's eye view. He used to pay $100 for these back in the late 70s when gold was in the $300-400 range. (Don't you wish you could go back and buy some now?) He's asking $100 for each of them. Make offer(s) if interested. There are two and I will only charge actual shipping, your choice of method but be prepared for it to be higher due to packing considerations. Local pickup acceptable or will hold until GS meet in October. They have boxes they came in but they are 30 years old. I will encase them in an additional layer of cardboard and packing to make sure they don't get bent and insure them for any reasonable value you wish.
Those are neat, but will they cure the "yips"!:TU: Hope you have a couple to save as family heirlooms.
I had to look that up. As far as I'm concerned, that is ancient history and a low point in my life. I was just graduating high school, my parents were divorcing and the place I thought I was going to inherit went under from the likes of 20% interest during the end of the Carter years. Dad, and to a lesser extent myself, struggled through my early college years to keep a car lot afloat. In the end, it was over and I've moved on. As heirlooms go, these have significance to me. May put them on ebay if there is not interest. Neither I nor Dad need the money. He was cleaning crap up and out and tossed those at me and said to sell them.
The box label and the tape near the grip says: Premium Products by CELEBRITY 2591 Cold Springs Road Placerville, CA 95667 916 622-9387 That is about all the markings they have on them besides the 24k gold plated that is on the bottom of the putter.
Nope, don't fish much either! In college I was the computer nerd that always had grease under my fingernails and smelled of gas fumes.
