ALL STOCK- father bought it brand new in 1970. I have put over $4000 into it. Mechanic issues, like brakes, tires, water and fuel pumps, steering box, master cylinder, radiator, tune ups, exhaust, starter... and so on... She sat for 5 years, walked up and turned the key, it fired up! She use to sit outside braving the Canadian Winters, but my new place has an underground parkade! I taker her out a few weeks during the summer, and am planning a frame out restoration in the next 2 years.Entered it in a car show, I won an award. "CAR WITH MOST POTENTIAL'. Nice, put alot into it, labor of love. From a peroid i had it prowling the streets, March till October, and just fixed whatever went wrong with it. It was something every week cause it sat for so long. Only 2 claims to fame i have with it, 1st is racing a MR2 on the highway, we were both at 100 km/hr and i floored it, Buick spun and took off like a rocket. F***ing love the torque on this beast. 2nd was going to beach with all my buddies packed in the back, truck so big (Mofia would love it ) filled with coolers with food and crap, Mustang 5.0 wanted to race. Doing 120km/hr, freaking blew their doors off. All my buds were pissing themselfs couldnt belive this rust bucket of metal had such balls. It's true, they dont make them like this anymore!! Every other week had ppl commenting on it, a few offers too, notes on my window, ppl approaching me. And the odd comment, "need quarter panels eh?!" It's one of the few things in my life i wil never part with no matter what. Anyways, a best bud of mine and an ex did everything they could to get "Over hauled" TV Show to fix her up. And well no go, but yeah, its the thought that counts. Powerblock TV had a restoration contest, same thing they don't go to Canada Here she is now, waiting for me to do something... Little about myself, single, no kids never married, I just work and enjoy my days off. Been around the internet a few times, I've ran an MSN chatroom for a few years, been modding on a few bodybuilding boards since 2006.
Welcome. Please consider registering your car in the factory stage1 registry. www.stage1registry.com Leads for restoration? What degree of restoration? Concours? Nice driver? There are a couple on my links page.
You know I think most 70 GS cars were burnished saddle in color. I had a stage 1 and a 70 convert. the same color.
Too bad you are so far away, I have alot of stuff you could use. I would love to see that car restored!:TU:
Yeap - I couldn't post vid's here until i get to 10posts! I will do a proper walk around with her this weekend.. so vid's to come!
Thank you! She will be driven on the road, so not show room, I'd be happy with average condition. Meaning no rust, decent and respectable.

Indeed! Interesting story for you, my father drove her everyday to work. He was a Heavy Duty mechanic, no matter how cold it was, he walked out and started it up, and sat in the car while she warmed up. He loved it, he drove it every single day.. :Comp:
