Hi Frank,Working on it.Pulled the motor last weekend & dropped it off at the machine shop that built it.Lots of crap in the oil filter.I am pretty sure that the oil got"washed" with fuel.Hoping it is not too bad as I only have about 20 passes on the motor.Figured I would address the spring issue while the motor is out.See ya at the track soon!! Hey, Nick. On my last 2 Buick 455 Regals that came with the Olds 307 V8 ... I continued to use those springs with both Buick 455 V8 engines ... up till now still. :TU:
Nick ... NO. I picked up my Stage-1 from Domenic yesterday, and noticed my front end was lower @ 1-1/2-inch than 2 months ago. I first noticed the front being a little lower in my "Burnout for Steve" video a few months ago ... but thought I was seeing things. Yesterday convinced me. Domenic told me of "Big-Block" springs for the front he can get for @ $90 the pair. :3gears:
Stock v6 in some.Thats whats in my 85 now.Works good uncut. Also used moroso but cut coil or coil & 1/2 off depending on front weight.
Thanks very much for the reply. My Olds307 front springs never sat high ... only a bit low ... now it's worse. I figured it was due to the header weight ... but apparently, MY OLDS307 SPRINGS (front) were on their last-leg just before the 455 went in @ 1 year ago. Hell, I even have light weight aftermarket tubular upper control arms on the front end ... and my springs still dropped. I'm getting them and all 4 shocks replaced this spring. :idea2:
kennebell 2" pulse headers, pump gas, full inter. ,hydroboost, hei, moroso rear sprs.airbag rt. rear for tuning. Runs a little quicker with 1 7/8" headers .I like to keep it in the 10.90's to 11.0's.
