Looking for retainers that are used on the rear quarter panel section of the sweepspear trim on the '70 Riv. In the center on each side there are 4, 3/16" x 1/2" rectangular push type retainers. I was able to save 3 out of the 8 that were there when I took the trim off. I have tried these outfits so far, and am not seeing it. Are there any other good places to look? http://cliphouse.com/index.aspx http://www.clipsandfasteners.com/General_Motors_Clips_And_Fasteners_s/64.htm http://www.oemhardware.ca/index.htm http://www.auveco.com/ http://www.restorationspecialties.com/Catalog-PDF.html I know a couple of these outifits only sell to the trade and not the general public. My eyes are crossed from looking at so many clips. It is simply amazing just how many types and designs of clips there are. Must be an entire area of engineering that is devoted soley to clips and retainers. I think I am going to end up using another type of retainer that will work in place of what Buick used, but will need to find something.
:kodak: It fits a 3/16" x 1/2 hole. Maybe someone will recognize it and lead me in the right direction.
Thanks Rich! I used to have their site bookmarked, but wasn't able to find them this time around. I emailed photos to a couple of other places, but so far have found nothing. I will email this place also.
Pics helped...geez...they are weird ones! I've seen plastic pockets like that, like door panel pockets that might work.
Plastic would be fine. I'm more interested in function over form. I see quite a few plastic ones that look close. Door panel pockets as you mentioned. Being the right size is the key.
