I looked at the car today and took pictures. Maroon color, Black interior all matching numbers. I am surprised at how solid it is, how little rust. A fist size hole in the trunk caused by a leaky chemical can, and a thumb sive one in the floor under the rear seat. I'll post some pictures, it is in a small storage room so they can't show everything. One point I would like to make, Andy called me and we talked about the car, when I looked at it everything is just as he said it was, so he will tell you the truth if you contact him. I know the pictures are not too good, the room is so small. The only missing part of the 4spd stuff I noticed was the rod from the pedal to the Z bar.
The complete alternator and all brackets for it are in the trunk, no front seats but the rear is present.
ThanQ for your time and these pix Mike! I talked with Andy on wednesday afternoon and now that I have seen these pix, I will contact him again.:TU: Wheelz, Tampa Bay
This is in my backyard! :idea2: I called tonight and made an close to asking price offer on it however he's wanting to wait a little while to try and pull his full asking price from it. If I buy it, I plan on throwing all my spare post parts on it, replace the non-running engine with one I have sitting here on a pallet and sell it in the Spring (decent winter project for me). I wouldn't plan on making a fortune off of it, just move it a little closer to restoration and clean out my shop a little. I'm thinking of selling my 65 four speed post GS, 65 Skylark Convertible and my 65 GS Coupe all next Spring also. This would just take me down to my 65 GS convertible which is a heck of a lot more easier and cheaper to store and maintain. I'll let you all know how this works out.
Made the fellow an offer and we worked out a deal. I'm going to pick her up on Sunday. For those who may have felt that they missed out this time around don't worry, you'll be seeing her again in the Spring, clean-up, sorted out and for sale with my other 4 speed post. Start saving now.. :bglasses: Chris

I bought the car from Chris sept 2011 ...he bought it in 09 this is an old thread, bought a donor car, and started the restore process July 1st 2012
Thanks I didn't look at the dates, I forget things lately. Congratulation on your purchase those 65's are a popular car.
Looks like it will live again! That's great, and your work looks great too, this should be a really nice one when you are finished. Keep us posted, you know how we love pictures. Mike
