Got the car back together enough to drive and check out how it may act. With the new cam and intake, the whole set up I had with the TA310 cam and B4B is out. I will almost need to start from square one. I went with an open plantum intake where the B4B is a dual-plantum. Although I went to a wider lobe seperation, the lift is 0.130 inch more (and a roller). Looks like I will need to spin the blower faster and reset the BOV. The bad part is it took a very long time for it to warm up. Have the timing set low for now (15* and it likes it).
Michael Looks like you are going to have a lot of fun! What are the new cam specs if you don't mind my asking? What boost level are you going to turn it up to? Paul
The cam is close to TAs 279R roller cam except that it has a 110 degree lobe seperation and has 0.645 lift. Will keep the boost the same right now, but want at least nine pounds. (now about three pounds) Six pounds are worth about 120 horse power. I will need to make chages to the BOV because it idles with about 16 HG.
Good to hear you are back up and running.... You should love the lack of overlap with the new roller cam. The 310 was not the best for your setup. I am using a single plane intake as well, should be great under high boost compared to the dual planes.
