. But of course!!! I figured if I cut the GS hood scoops into it and done the suspension mods along with the 400HP engine I could call it GSX if I wanted to. Id never try to pass it off as a factory option but I still have to argue with some folks about it being origional. Had one dufus yesterday that swore up in down the 68 Riv was Ft. wheel drive. Geeshou: Even after I showd him pics of my car.
Haha, He must have confussed it with a toronado. Duurp. Those scoops do give it a bit more attitude, as if Rivieras needed any more attitude. :beer
Briz can you tell what's rear tire-wheel combo? Offset, wide etc? Hopefully next week i am goin to mount 9,5'' wide steelies with 275/60/15 on my Riv. How much did You stiffen rear suspension if at all? Peace Kacper.
Ft's are 235/60 and rears are 275/60 with some room to spare. I put a 1" Alumn. spacer on top of the GS springs. The only rub I get is with a full tank of fuel and the kids in the back when I go over a big dip or hump in the road that makes thecar "float".Then its just slight. heres a pic of it up on the trailer at the track with 26x11.5 drag radials in ot. The wheels 3.5" BS
Hello, here are a couple of pix, almost done, need to get some real paint on her, hidden away since '78, still mostly all original, hope everyone has a great safe Memorial Day...
My '77 Riv w/350 Buick power still driven 90+ miles daily until 4 months ago. Now it's on secondary car duty.
My 73 GS and no its not a real STG 1 but I got the emblum real cheep so had to put it on most people don't know the diffrence. I do not represent the car as a fractory STG 1.
My 63, 401/445 soon to have a 65- 401/340hp cam, 65 trans and 65 3.08 positraction rear end, and 3 inch drop springs, All happening the first week of July. Cant wait!!!
