Well after having my car the same way for last 7-8 years I decided to make sum changes. I kept most of it the same just made sum exterior changes. Do u think there subtle enough?
Looks cool!!!:TU: Pics of the motor?? I just found out that I need a 4 inch scoop/cowl to clear my intake/carb setup and still work correctly. Would love to see the result of yours!!:Brow::TU:
As subtle as a freight train!! Haha. I dig it though. The Hoosiers and that giant cowl scream pure nastiness!
Thanks guys the 6 inch hood was over kill but its the only one the made that laid back like that. Interesting I could sneak by with a GN hood back in the day. My old hood is a 3 inch cowl with plenty room. Hood is for sale its a steel hood with 3 inch fiberglass cowl molded on. 150 takes it. PM me if interested Its in my garage I just listed today.
Actually that was a what I call a super stocker. Stock rods, crank, flat top forged pistons, self ported heads with big valves stock rockers and hyd cam with fel pro blues. Would run low 11s all day on 100 octane had it for 6 yrs before new combo Put the spray on would run mid tens easy never sprayed it off the line. ONly issues was every year had to replace a few stock rods in motor would slighlty bend. But I kept a bucket of them for reserve. Its around 175 with a 100 second stage could never use it with super stocker would blow head gasket every time. ---------- Post added at 05:27 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:21 PM ---------- Funny nobody notices the subtle change just that big one.
pulled the wheel opening moldings. looks good. good thing you like to go in a straight line becuase your not going to be able to see to turn right anymore lol. :TU:
Basically your right I lowered it about 2 inches all around. It still has full steering but had to move a lot more than just the molding. After lowering I went weight reduction crazy. It payed off already in lowered et. For all you guys with straight race cars there a lot of weight to be pulled and retain stock appearanceI a lil extra time pays off.
funny part it i was gonna say you lowered it, but i usually only see it with the front end up in the air going down the track. i always like yours because of the fact it still has a stock apperance but was fast. dont you normally travel into norwalk with they guy that has that fast midnight blue car thats a full race car?
Yep same car. I remeber you parking next to us a few yrs ago. Car still has stock look besides hood just making sum minor ones to look a little more aggressive. If anyone is local and looking for a goood hood I have one for sale. ---------- Post added at 04:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:53 PM ---------- I tried to pm you and you box is full
