Dave - are these particular clips green on all type of brakes ? What color would a 70 GS Stage 2 with power alum drums have ?

Pat, which clips do you mean? Stage-2 has no bearing on anything as it was not an option on any factory car.

  3. Are the emergency brake cables routed through the lower control arms? Tough to tell from the picture.

Dave , You had mentioned this (above) earlier in this thread . I was asking if these clips are green on a drum brake car and and a disc brake car .I was thinking that Stage 2 means it is 455 if engine size has a bearing

    Thanks Pat

The E-brake cables are not routed through the control arms but are connected to them with hook then route over top of control arm to the backing plate.

  6. Now I see it. Looking at it on my phone it looked like went through the hole where the sway bar goes.

    Chassis looks good.

    Paul,
The brake line/fuel line clips are color coded by line sizes/types of clips, not engine sizes.

That way they were easier to grab when first installing them.

And they would be green for the ones you mentioned. I painted mine with green anodized(spelling)? paint.

So I finally got the documentation on my car... turns out it is a triple black stage 1, just like how it is being built. Does anybody know where to find a space saver spare tire and inflation kit??? We were building it as a regular spare, but the car originally had a space saver. it also had a trailer hitch which I have no idea where i'll get one of those either.. any ideas?

Good deal on the docs .
What was the factory load options ? Im guessing you will find a trailer hitch b4 a space saver & inflation . Never seen one before.

View attachment Buick Info.pdf NOt sure if the attachment will work or not... Basically, the car came from Dallas, TX, originally invoiced for $4337.67, and re-invoiced at another dealership for $3997.89. Body color is AA2 which is regal black with a black vinyl top. It is a trim 188 for black vinyl and bucket seats. Option codes are D-N (sonomatic radio, tape player, and rear speaker), E-9 (space saver spare tire), F-7 (Super wide oval white billboard lettered G60-15 tires), I-6 (air conditioner), K-3 (speed alert), L-1 (soft Ray tinted glass), A-1 (Stage 1 Performance Option), B-C (turbo 400 and full length console), C-E (power disk brakes and power steering), O-A (door guards and remote control outside rear view mirror), S-7 (tilt steering wheel), U-A (trunk light, mirror map light, and U5 instrument group), X-2 (rallye steering wheel), I-2 (trailer hitch-less ball), *-2 (Unknown (on 2nd invoice only).

I sure would like to get my hands on a space saver spare tire. i'm not too sure about putting the trailer hitch back on.. probably should try to find one of those as well. Also, does anybody make the super side oval G60-15's with the white lettering?

Kelsey tire has the correct G60-15 Goodyear Polyglas tires. These are the only ones that are correct in this size. They are the main distributor but some others sell as well. Be prepared to shell out at least $275 each.

$275 sounds about right. If it was all cheap then the car would have been done a year ago lol. Anybody know the size and manufacturer of the space saver spare tire? I found one for a '70 trans am that is a 15" rim with a goodyear tire. there are a lot of 14" ones out there with BFgoodrich tires..

Having a hard time adding attachments. I've tried multiple formats and sizes but it still wont work! Anyone have any ideas? My connection is not the problem, it is something with the website.

The stage 1 is closer to completion. Body is on the frame, drive shaft installed, and exhaust installed. Headliner and vinyl top are installed along with the trim. The trunk is splattered, lid and fender extensions are installed.

Next steps are wiring, heater box rebuild, dash, and glass.

Are there correct, new emblem and lenses out there for this car?

Most emblems + lenses are repro'ed. The Stage 1 fender emblem can be hard to find depending on the pin placement.

I have been trying to attach them in the thread in the "reply to thread" window like I have on previous pictures.. doesn't seem to work anymore.

Are repro-emblems any good? I have the originals but all need re-plating and paint.. exploring my options..
