I want to remove the AC heater box on the firewall and replace with non ac box.
Is this as easy as it sounds or do I have to change the inner box, heater core, and blower motor for the heat to function?
    Thanks

Firewall setup is different for A/C versus non- A/C cars. You will have to get an aftermarket cover to replace the A/C stuff. Be prepared to take out the dash...AND the engine...

    Ok well,
Not what I was thinking/hoping. I was thinking just swap the exterior ac box with a non ac box like this https://www.yearone.com/Product/1964-72-skylark-gs/yd64
So the bolt pattern is different and none of the interior side will work with a non ac box?
Would like to keep the heat and the ac is missing too many pieces, and the headers I have a line on I believe would interfere with the current ac box.

everything is different-inside heater box, outside box, dash, controls (vac vs cable) and unless you put the astro ventilation in, its gonna be HOT on that car.

If you get the aftermarket "A/C delete" cover for the engine compartment, you'll be good to go.
