Need some advise, would a 1979 Cadillac Deville use the same AC compressor as my 75 LeSabre? I am restoring AC to my white 75 vert and there is a very clean 79 Deville in the local pic and pull. Thanks for the help
AC compressors are something I would buy new. There is just too much risk with a junkyard compressor, and age is a factor for them as well as use. http://www.autozone.com/climate-con...lterByKeyWord=ac+compressor&fromString=search
Thanks for the tip, I think I will restore it just for the appearance, It doesn't get that hot here and I like to use OEM if possible. From my limited knowledge and research it looks like it's a match. I have been told I need to have the VIR restored and there is a place in Florida that can do this. I have also tracked down the insulator hose that goes over the AC hose but you have to buy it in bulk bummer!
I see. Nice cars. Down here it's so different...the top is up with the AC cranking in the summer and down in the winter. Cold air is a valuable thing.
