    Hi,

i'm from Germany and in love with classic american cars. Actually i own a 1971 Corvette C3, and i have a lot of fun with this car.
But my next one MUST be a 1969 Riviera, i felt in love with this car a while ago when seeing one at a car show here in Germany.

So i'm completly "wet behind my ears", but want to get some informations, tips etc. here in the forum, so i hopefully find the right Riviera soon.
Maybe in the states and import the car or maybe here in Germany.

Please be nice if i ask dumb questions ;-)

Welcome. There do seem to be a lot of 1960s Buicks in the Netherlands and Belgium. You should not have to go far.

Want to say, visited both Switzerland and Germany for the second time this past summer. Adore it over there. Had a blast. Can't wait to return.

Switzerland is not an EU member, importing a car from outside the EU means paying a lot more in tax.
    CHF 18,500.00 = 17,697.80 Euro = US$ 19,823.40
That's too much for a model year 1969 Riviera, the year with the highest production number for the RWD Riviera.

Here's a model year 1969 Riviera for sale in the Netherlands :Comp:

Asking price is 12,950.00 Euro, no import tax to pay in Germany.
