The paint code is -- so I have no idea what original paint is. It was repainted powder blue when i got it. It is dark blue now not black. The interior was changed ffrom white to black before I got the car. I don't know why. It is a true GS 400. I was told the engine is a 68. The top is white but needs to be replaced.

DL- it is either a - or a Q. I think CJP's is a -. There are numerous documented 69 Fireglow's on this board that are - (for lower body) or -- for solid tops. Would have to find a buildsheet or pull this car apart to find traces of the original color. However, based on it being a Spring build and the - for the paint, I would very safely assume she's an original fireglow... :)

I've never seen any traces of orange anywhere. Could it have been black?

No... as black is a 'standard' color - denoted w/ a number '10'. It can be any color other than the standards. However, MOST spring built 69 GS's with a - USUALLY signifies Fireglow. However, that is NOT an absolute, just a 'highly likely'.

CJP69 and Louie on this board have ORIGINAL Fireglow, May built GS's that have DASHES for paint codes... So, again, it is HIGHLY likely that this MAY built 69 GS WITH the correctly colored interior IS a Fireglow car... :)

Wow Chris Fremont build Fireglow convertible body #90 ! These cars were consecutive body #'s . And only 3 Fireglow convertibles were built in Fremont .

PS : aren't all Buicks exported to Canada have Doc's ?

I don't know if the GM Canadian doc's cover exports... I KNOW they cover 'Built in Canada' cars...

DL, it seems MANY of the 'special' non stage 69's were built in Freemont and had LOW consecutive body numbers.. Odd.... ??

If a GM car was delivered new at a Canadian GM Dealership,GM of Canada will have paperwork, regardless of location car was built.
