Other than wheelbase, are there any major differences between the 94-96 B-body frame and the 72 LeSabre frame that would prevent me from slipping the newer frame under the older body? I've tried to find diagrams online with little success...

the later b bodies are shorter wheel base iirc. they are on 4 door 2nd gen a body frames. a 77 up b body is 116 in. 76 back is 126. i dont think the later frame offers any advantage anyhow. the more common rear maybe thats it but a i think a modern chevy truck rear can be made to work.

I'm wanting to utilize the running gear (including the ABS) and eventually do a LSx swap...there is far more suspension/brake upgrade potential and support for the newer chassis than there is for the older one.

it wont work they are shorter skinner etc....like i said you can use the rear axle out of a late model truck. abs the wiring would be a nightmare even on frame swap and idk what the gain would be except saftey for a inexperienced driver. there is plenty of support for the earlier b body suspension being its shared with a impala. tubular control arms big brakes etc....
