    Dear V-8 Buick longroof fans,

    Da problem with dem long roofs is . . . . .

Thats an awful lot of roof to wax and buff!

Well, it was a terrific struggle, but clean living prevailed!

The rest of the car turned out nice and shiny as well:

Autumn has come late in California, so heres a shot of my trusty wagon with red foliage all around:

Here is a close-up of her front - lots of chrome in 1965!

Finally what would a portrait of a station wagon be without a view of that all important tailgate?

Since I suppose it is now very cold and barren in many parts of the country, may this give you all a bit of autumn memories before the weather turns really, really awful.

    A VERY assertive wagon! (Re: Da problem with dem long roofs . . . . . .)

Dear Sean, Joe, and V-8 Buick "assertive" station wagon fans,

Thanks for your support guys. :) It has been a long hard road and has been a very steep learning curve. [IMG]

She has been running only about 2 weeks and I have been driving her more than I probably should. However, they keep threatening us with much needed rainfall that alas is never enough for drought stricken California.

Nonetheless, she most definitely has changed in her character. Before, it took a lot of accelerator before anything happened. Now, there is just a tiny bit of resistance and then Vrroom!! It really takes a lot of concentration to avoid having her launch. That's especially bad news in tight quarters like trying to get her into the garage. In addition to finally settling on larger tires, choosing an appropriate rear end ratio, and related issues, I'll need to see if the the throttle spring can be tweaked to make her a little harder to launch. Right now it is literally too easy. You guys might think of this as a feature :3gears:but when Mom rides with me - well, Biquette really needs to be on her best behavior! :)

    Cheers, Edouard :beer

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

Lookin' good! The foliage is, for the most part, off the trees here and the ground is snow-covered.

Dear Jim and V-8 Buick longroof fans,

Thanks! It has been a long road but finally starting to final phase of smoothing out the rough edges.

Well, now I wouldn't say that exactly. However, the engine is a bit ornery as a result of some the oddities of the EZ-EFI 1.0 system. I'm looking into a cure for that at the moment.

    You don't know my "gal" . . . . (Re: Da problem with dem long roofs . . . . . .)

    Dear Jerry and V-8 Buick automotive personality interpreters . . . .

You guys have me and my wagon all wrong! My wagon is still trying to be her sweet old self. She has simply become a bit assertive! :3gears:

[IMG]. . . . Isn't that what the feminists are trying to encourage all "women" to be? . . . . . [IMG]
