I just picked up another car- a 1966 Plymouth Sport Fury Convertible, 383, 727. Is there a good forum to join to get some info about this car? I may need some parts too, mainly a 4 barrel manifold and a carb. It's a 2 bbl.
There are a few Mopar forums to choose from. This one seems to have the most threads with lots of different sub forums to choose from. Enjoy your fury. http://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/forum.php

Being a "C" Body ---- join www.forcbodiesonly.com ---- it's a good forum -- and free. I have mountains of parts for "C" Body MOPARS!!!!!!!!
I did find and join that forum. I like it so far. Do you have an air cleaner housing for a 383-2 bbl? Nice sport wheels?
I have a little shell shock. My experience with C Body Only is not a good one. Anyway, I got the car, and while it runs well when underway, it does not idle at all. You have to drive it with two feet. The seller feigns or is surprised. The carb is really corroded and old looking. I think I'll drop a 4 barrel on it. It seems like a 3406 Edelbrock will do the trick.
Why not try pulling the idle mixture screws, shoot carb cleaner in the holes, let set a few minutes, then blow through the holes with an air hose? Then replace the air/idle screws, lightly seating them and then back them out about a turn and a half. No reason to spend out the big bucks when maybe you can solve the problem for free.....
Nice Fury, Frank We have quite a few of those Plymouths in The Netherlands. My friend Jeroen is the owner of 66sportfury.com and of a white model year 1966 Sport Fury coupe :TU: Unfortunately, there is no board attached to his website. Click banner to visit website :Comp:
