I'm sure this has been asked multiple times but I'm wondering what most people use on 14" rims. All my cars have 15" rims and I run 245/60R15 Are 245/60R14" the best look for 14" rims?
14 inch tire sizes offered on 68 to 72 GS were either G78 x 14, H78 x 14 or wide oval G70 x 14. Their modern equivalents are, for the G78 - 215/75 x 14. For the H78 - 225/75 x 14. For the G70 wide oval - 225/70 x 14. For your information, I couldn't find any available 225/75 x 14s in Tire Rack. Also, the 245/60 x 14 you asked about seems a bit shorter in diameter (25 1/2 in.) than what came on these cars originally.(26 1/2 inches was nominal). And, if the 14 inch rims are 6 inches wide, the 60 series tire is too wide for this width rim. So, all said and done, I'd recommend the 225/70 x14 as the best look and fit. BFG makes their Radial T/A in that size.
Anybody have any pictures of there car with 225/70/14s I would like to see what they look like on a car?
You are very limited with 14" rims. That is why most step up to 15" or larger rims. I found one picture of P225/70R-14s on this thread, page 9. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?194022-What-tire-size-and-rim-combo-are-you-running/page9 http://www.v8buick.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=295960&d=1412420503
Larry, whose the guy that makes the custom sized rally rims? Also, any recommendations on where to get 15x8 rally's? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not sure who makes custom wheels, unless you are thinking of Steve Caruso (underdog350) http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?264619-Guide-to-Buick-chrome-rally-wheels-part-1&highlight= http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.p...-rally-wheels-part-2-reproductions&highlight= You can get 15 X 8 Buick Rallyes lots of places. http://www.specialtywheel.com/product-showcase/buick/buick-rallye.html http://www.summitracing.com/search/...le-chrome-with-black-powdercoated-slot-wheels http://www.stocktonwheel.com/specialty.html
Thanks Larry! Steve Caruso, that's who I couldnt remember. I'm thinking with my 68, the back spacing is an issue, the 15x8 don't normally have 5" bs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I can only show you what a 235/70/14 looks like, which they no longer make. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
