Hello again, snowed in and looking for visual inspiration! mine is in bad condition... Lets see some pictures.
That stripe does look original, notice that the top stripe does not go beyond the front of trim. That is how the factory did it and most aftermarket installations do not duplicate this small detail.
Well somebody found a Stage 1 that will have to precede the black one... bench seat 4-speed will have work cut out on the 68 - missing some of the interior and lots of rust. Any more 68 3 pedal cars out there? Chris Lance?
Hmmmm, that car looks very familiar! I sold it to Chris in the Minneapolis area, did you buy it from him?
I'm pretty sure I measured the stripes and took pics of them for a board member when I had this car, was that you Mike?
Could have been since I am always looking for more information on these cars:TU:. I have since acquired an NOS section of a '68 stripe and the factory assembly manual shows where they are supposed to be located. Someday I may try a set on my car.
It's all apart and in the basement for years, it's a bucket seat, consolette, am-fm, no PS or PB car, have build sheet, Wilmington car. $500 in 1979!:Smarty:
