I am impressed by the quality of the AeroCatch pin system. You have to be really accurate on setup but that does not look like a problem for you. Would love to have seams looking as good as yours.

The whole hood spring thing is a pain. For me it will be worse when I get the grills into the hood. Again hoping that modifying the hinge system so the springs have some stretch on them at the up position will help.

We need to get the 3 beast (yours, mine and Bobb Makely's) together at some event. Can't think of any other Procharged big block street cars (John C) ?

Yea a few centrifugal BBB cars riding around and running would be awesome, I'm almost tempted to build a Tomahawk and go for broke, just so much $$ but with it comes so much peace of mind, definitely be a few years from becoming a possibility. I more than likely will just do a halo'd steel rod stock crank setup over the next year so I can lean on it a little. But yea I've installed a couple sets of the AeroCatchs and they are a time consuming process for sure. John JR has been a valuable asset in this venture for me.

It is a small community. My motor is over a Bobb's right now. Since I have had good luck with the bottom end so far I think will just continue with some improvements and keep going. Lighter rods and pistons sound like a good idea to me. Just build a nice 470, clean up the heads and that will be 650 to 700 hp.

Keep the boost at a safe level and don't look back. I run between 5 and 7 pounds and never have an issue. Got it running rich just to be safe. Got it dialed in for 10.0 index and just keep making passes. As long as you don't get greedy and just take the baby steps you will be fine and enjoy it. When the power comes in it is awesome. John jr. P.s. see you in the spring at piedmont.

John, did not know to count you as a race car or street car. But any way you look at it getting all 4 together would be awesome. Would have to give the US Geological Society a heads up so they would not think there was an earthquake.

I am in the street strip category. I drive it when I can and race it when I can. Nothing crazy and I don't race it to its full potential. It makes way too much power so I just keep it on the safe tune.

Welcome to the club. Even though we don't have a club. In fact all we would need is a table.... with a 6 pack.

So drove the car all day Sat and to School today, sounds awesome , throttle response is diminished and that was expected. But not seeing any boost yet, I have a 5.5in pulley on there now and the engine is capable of flowing so much air that it is consuming what's being produced at the 42k rpm the blower is currently spinning. New 4.5in pulley will be here Wednesday hopefully will send around 6lbs, thars when the fun happens

Ethan are you saying the car feels the same with what boost the charger makes spinning 42k?

My experience is that Buicks just seem to suck up whatever the blower puts out and do not show a lot of boost. My D-1 is at over 90%, shows 8 psi @6000 rpm. You are at 56% now so lots of room to go. Once you get a little pressure in the hat the response off of part throttle is just so much fun. People think it's fast and then you really hit it.

Six pounds on an F-1 is a lot of air. You may need even more pulley to get there. If you are running a 12 rib I might have a 4 inch pulley you can try if needed.

It's making zero boost at the current 42k goes to 0 on the gauge and that's it ran it all way to 6200rpm . it's actually slower with all the stuff plugging up the carb and I dropped the timing back to 30 from 38 which really took the edge off of it

Doug I've got a 8rib setup, I hope the 4.5 shows something on the gauge so I at least have data to give Tyler at Procharcher, the 4.5 is really just a shot in the dark

Is the blow valve plumbed correctly and working? Surprised it won't make boost.

Yea it's working as it should flutters at idle and closes as soon as you blip the throttle. It's plumbed to the large port in the Baseplate

I agree with Jim, seems strange you are showing nothing. What is the fuel pressure doing?

It goes up, which i thought it was strange too, but maybe the fuel reg is just that sensitive

Bob at the supercharger store recommended the 5.5in pulley, but I think he developed the kit on a pretty much stock engine, my 72 of overlap, sp2 intake, ported stage 2 TE heads ,2in spacer,950 Carb, 2in spacer, and 4in charge tube just have so much more volume to fill it's gonna have to be humming pretty good to back it up enough to make boost, not to mention the 2.125 headers and 3.5in exhaust

That Boost is not my wheel house, so I have no technical advice to offer. Sounds like you are close.

I can not help to think you are a simple tune away from getting it.

I do advise you have a pair of Depends on when you do dial it in and take it out for a tear.....:TU:
