Intercooler showed up...and of course, the first thing that was required was to cut it up. lol.

Cut the straight outlet off and welded on a 90* elbow. Also have some more work to do on it...will post pics once its done.

Decided to hack up the core support as well, for intercooler/radiator clearance.

Had to do some trimming of the core support to allow the IC to tuck back into it. Welded tabs to the support to mount the IC.

Also ordered a Ron Davis radiator today...great guys to work with...but that hurt the wallet. lol. Should be here in a couple weeks.

Radiator showed up last week....total work of art. Haven't had a chance to do anything with it yet though.
It's meant for an LS swap into an early 60s impala, but the dimensions worked out to what I needed. I hope. lol.

Small update. The blow off valves are mounted, and the radiator is tucked down into place. Still need to make mounts for it.

Well, my '64 is sitting in five rooms in the house, and scattered in the garage, so I have to do something when I'm not trying to "...put Tab A into Slot B...".

Poking fun at your awesome project just seemed the thing to do. But it is all flattery. :bglasses:

BTW, can you tell me anything about the chrome trim speers on the deck on the car before you started the work?

Has that "surfer" look that I saw in San Diego that was implemented in the 60s. Saw a few cars with the stripes and the chrome, and did not know if that was a thing that was added back in the day, or if there was an option for it. Looks nice, but not sure if it is "at home" on a buick. Maybe a GTO. Although, the '68 'larks look good with the chrome on the deck.

Wasted, the fab work is truly amazing man!!! Always wanted to build a turbo car but the tuning and fabrication always scared me!

Almost thought I was looking a Nelson Racing Engine motor!!

Thanks man. As far as all the added extra chrome "trim"...the PO must have gone on a shopping spree in the ricer aisle at AutoZone. It was all the crap you get on a roll, an applied with 2 sided tape. It's all gone now, and won't be back.

Wow, that is quite the compliment! I appreciate it, but I'm nowhere near that good. lol. Just some clown that is self taught and likes to build cool stuff. But again, thank you.

Small update. Finally got the cold side finished up. I think the bumper should hide most of this tubing. I'm sure just a bit may peek out from underneath. Who knows, maybe it will look mean like that.

Looking really good! No sharp turns just a nice radius.

You'll have to warn your father in law(IIRC this car is for him?) to try not to do any Dukes of Hazard jumps with the car after its done or he may damage the cold side pipes. :eek2:

Looking good! Can't wait to see the finished product!
