Well Buick fans I finally have the official dates for the 21st East Coast Regionals at Cecil County Dragway in North East, Maryland. The dates will be September 15th & 16th, 2017 but unfortunately just like last year, it is again the same weekend as the GS Nationals in Bowling Green, Kentucky. I spoke with Richard Lasseter about this a few times since his announcement of his event and our hands are tied, neither of us can change our dates. All I can say is make sure you attend at least one of the events to keep our Buick community flourishing. At last years event we had our largest car show attendance ever and I have to give thanks to Jim Chaudrue from the MAGNA Club for going all out to make the car show a huge part of the event. Jim hit every social media site with our event flyer as well as attended all the local car shows and cruises in the area. We had Buicks attend from as far north as Canada and as far south from Florida! We also had over 600 spectators on Saturday which was also a record setter for our meet. We are working on the flyer and I will post it in a few weeks with all the details of the event. Race entry will be lowered this year and there will be no need for preregistration. I will be making calls for sponsors but we already have a few on board such as TA Performance, Stage 1 Performance, Cotton's Performance, HR Parts-N-Stuff, The Auto Center, Precision Billet, Ultimate Converters, The Buick Farm, Scotty's Racing Engines, Cars, Finishline, Kirban's Peformance & Turbo Buick Nationals. Anyone interested in sponsoring can PM me and I can explain our sponsorship program. In addition to our Buick racing with all day test-n-tune and 2 gambler's races on Friday, we will be joined by Ralph's Stock Appearing Muscle Car Club for both days. On Saturday we will be joined by the MANDRA Club with their nostalgic race cars which is always a blast to watch plus our huge Buick only car show. So don't forget to make your reservations at the Comfort Inn (410) 287-7100 and mention Northeast GS/GN Club for the discounted rate of $82. Thanks to everyone for making the East Coat Regionals such a great event.
Had a great time last year, wish I could make in again this year! Being the same weekend as BG is a bummer, but it is what it is. Unfortunately I can't do either, my partner in crime (Taulbee) is getting hitched that weekend, one of the very few reasons I would ever miss a great Buick event (or two!)
Was there last year. Would love to be there this year, and at the Nationals for part of it. Won't make either as I have a trip already planned. BUMMER :ball:
Someday i will make your excellent Buick event........but i got a streak going(having attended every GS Nats since the 2nd one)...... Someday i will make it.......you all have fun....i know you will :TU: Peace WildBill
Looking forward to attending again. Hopefully this year I won't have to rebuild my transmission again.
WHY HAS THIS HAPPENED 2 YEARS IN A ROW??????? ou:ou:ou: WHATS THE REAL STORY BEHIND THE SNAFU??? why the divide ?? the gs nats deserves better ,,the BPG is GONE FOREVER<<<what is the real story here<does someone="" or="" some="" group="" out="" to="" ruin="" destroy="" the="" gs="" nats????="" very="" sad="" state="" of="" affairs<="" html=""></does>
Scheduled for the trip without thinking. DUH. I had planned on trying to do both BG till Thursday, then drive to Cecil for Fri/Sat. I'm sure I will enjoy the trip, but will sure miss the events and most of all the Buick Family.
I'll be there again. I love taking everyone's money. This year I'll finally beat Bob Cristo in the finals!
