Pics make it look like a pretty good deal for someone. Does not look to have much in the way of rust.
If I had the room and money I'd snatch it up. Seems like fate that it too was from the Chicagoland area and ended up here in Denver (though I'm not at a scrap yard yet).
I've never seen bolt on ladder bars used as trailing arms before. Is this the hot set up or something? o No:
That looks dangerous! doesn't even have a locater bar. Even if it lasted through its first launch, the rear end assembly would walk all over and he would be in the wall... Plus it would never pass tech.
If its as solid as it looks, it would be well worth a frame off. I'd do a restomod GSX clone sans the 'emblems'.
Anyone know of a good hauling company that will haul an in-op to Pennsylvania? I'll save that. As for the rear suspension,my guess is when the good rear was removed, the spare rear was thrown back in,and only enough pieces bolted on to hold it in place. Just a thought.
I do not but I'm more than willing to help in any way for you to get this if it means it gets saved. I'm about 20 miles away
Never had to use any of these guys myself, but I did a google search: https://www.google.com/#q=inop+car+hauler&*&spf=1
