The spray can stuff isn't worth using IMO, most if not all are water based, and simply won't hold up, spray with hotrod black urethane single stage or chassis black etc then turn the psi REALLY low on the paint gun and spray the aqua it will look OE correct be durable and last. Just go buy a body shop with a mixing machine and have them make some auqua say 10oz then have them cut it just a little with reducer you want it little more thick than you would normally use it. You can then topcoat it with some flat Clear and it will be even better off

I've heard that GM still sells it in rattle cans. Or so I've been told.

I did mine with rattle cans around 1992, put a coat of non gloss clear over it and it is as perfect today as when I put it on.

Does anyone know if the AC Delco, GM splatter paint any better than other one's? Does it require clear over it.

I was told it does not require clear.

Here's a fresh GM gray w/white in my 66, no clear.

Read other thread 67GS trunk paint. My way is best kept secret. I was told to do it this way by an olds fanatic who works for Colors inc. Who's 442 have been Big Trophy winners. And the paint is very durable! And smoother by hand. But splatter can be felt. I posted pic's. Flat urethane single stage very durable. And rubber mats wont damage paint.
