    I don't believe there was ever a better turnpike cruiser than the 69-70 Electra.

    I'm a little partial to my 66, otherwise I'd agree wholeheartedly. That's one very pretty Electra you've got, and it's even nicer to see a 4 door hardtop kept up in that condition!

    Had the same exact car only mine was a 1970. LOVED THAT CAR, someone liked it better so after about two years I sold it.
    Couldn't live without a Duece so I found my 1969 Red on Red convert and have enjoyed it for about 12 years so far. Love that Aqua Mist color.

    69 By far was the most beautiful Buick ever built. I had 3 of them. And yes , nothing better to cruise the turnpikes with .

    Very smooth and quiet ride.
    2300 rpm @ 70 mph.

    You can bury the speedo and the needle will go past 120 and only stop when it hits the shift indicator pointer that is in drive. Been there , done that .

    Yup; - had a 69 Wildcat that would do that...disable the shift indicator and it'll go to "P" before it stops.
