Surprised no one here is talking about this one....... http://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Buick-GS-/192315720721?hash=item2cc6e90411:g:UIAAAOSwddhZyBrj&vxp=mtr
Being one of 67 makes it worth saving but, it's gonna need a lot. Body and frame has lots of rust, non-matching motor, wrong shifter. Also, it has a tach but, idiot lights, no gauges. Tach had to be added since it was only available with the gauge package WB8/U5.
It looks like 70 backing plates with 71-72 arm rests. Paint flaking in door jamb looks like either the car or just the door was gold colored. I think someone seriously interested should go look at it before laying out 30K+. The "body work" is blowing up.
is it going to be worth enough when done to make saving it worthwhile? i'd guess with NOM motor the odds aren't in it's favor. I think the days of guys buying these cars and doing a correct concourse restoration and then losing their shirt are pretty much long gone.
Non matching number concours resto sold for $170k at Mecum May 2017. https://www.mecum.com/lots/SC0517-282895/1970-buick-gs-stage-1-convertible/
