With 15 x 7 rims what is the largest tire size that will fit the rear axle? I know I have seen the answer before but I cannot find it. Thank you for the help. John
When it comes to mounting the biggest tire that will fit on a particular car, there is no guarantee that the tire that fits on one person's car will fit on your car. This is because the body may not be exactly square on the frame. You may have more clearance on one side than the other. It isn't uncommon. You MAY need to modify the lip, maybe not, can't predict that.
Im not sure how 275's fit on the rear on a stock 69 vert? With my 15x7 WG's or even non WG's and 245-60 /15's there is about a fingers width between the tire and the fender. Maybe convertibles are slightly different than the hardtops? Huuummm? I have aluminum rear brake drums which are a bit thicker than the stock drums so maybe that's the reason I can only use 245-60/ 15's which is all I would want anyway. Eric / Oregon
Not sure if this is the specific model match - but this site has a ton of good info: http://www.automobile-catalog.com/tire/1969/84470/buick_gs_350_sport_coupe.html Bob
