Just looking at all the posts about garages got me thinking it'd be interesting to see what different guys have got to park their toys in. Mine isn't anything fancy, just a deep 2 stall, but I have enough room to pull and rebuild engines, do bodywork, and just about anything else I need to do. Major jobs have to wait until I can pull one car out and leave it in the driveway or at my buddy's shop for the duration. I've got a Harbor Freight "lean to" the Caddy lives under on the side of my garage behind a locked fence, so I've got 2.5 stalls. If I need to paint or have a bigger project, my best friend has a 40x50 I can "borrow", but I've got a welder, torch, drill press, 20 ton press, chop saw, vise, jacks, benches, and all necessary tools to do whatever I need at home mostly, so I feel pretty blessed. Long way from doing engine swaps in my parents back yard on the lawn haha (my Mom is a saint and put up with my Dad and 3 boys all building hot rods for years ruining her grass).....
have a 3 bay garage using one+ bay as a shop area. the other side is for parking the Riv and some storage. outside in front and back is covered parking. may enclose the back in the future.
I just wave the magic wand and POOF! Its springtime. This is a 20x30 that came with the house, all drywalled and insulate but a lousy 7 foot ceiling. The new 22x22 is wher the bad lad is sleeping now... ws
My 22x30 detached is Buick land (except in the summer time when they're being driven alot, then they're in the attached garage.
I don't use mine much, there is no lift, cramped and I SWEAR I ALWAYS feel like I am being watched or SOMETHING!
I wish I had something more roomy...I have to put the Wife's Escape in the driveway when the Suncoupe is here..in this tiny, made for a Model T garage. Maybe one day..
I would love to share pics on here but I have things that I should not have in my collection nothing illegal or anything like that but things that just should not be..a couple of guys have seen pics....I have been collecting a certain thing for years.
How it was before I started turning wrenches counterclockwise... What it looks like right now. But I'll be firing up the '64 in a week or two and then get everything out and clean up my mess. It's a lot of shuffling of stuffs to get things done.
Joe it is almost 2018, you can tell them about the mannequins, most will understand, well a definite maybe anyhow Really need to wash the grease off your hands b4 touchin all over them : p
Yea I know,...I have a real problem and need help ha 40x100 and I still have to crawl over stuff sometimes I do all the bodywork in the family business shop across the driveway. I truly appreciate guys having to work out of small shops my heart goes out to you, I've built several out of my parents 22x32 and it's tight.
Hahahaha now that's funny John.. Wow Ethan hugger that's a sweet set up If I had all that space I would have room for all my stuff.. And for the record John has seen pics of my set up.
I am neither able to confirm or deny the aforementioned claims of any prior or current knowledge of OHC JOE's posessions
Post more, Fritz. And you need to always remember, no matter how hard life is, you touch a lot of invisible people. Keep on keeping on in the New Year! And I'll keep you in prayers.
It’s a mess right now. The GN will be replaced with a GS soon. I have an...interesting... roommate that claimed the middle bay when we moved in. He’s moving out in March and my other roommates ‘69 Nova will take it’s place. I don’t want to upload any photos of our storage garage in Scranton. A tornado of parts went through that place...
