So I'm replacing the stock snorkel air cleaner with an aftermarket unit and I'm wondering what the best plan for the charcoal canister vent tube is.

What have other folk done when going this route?

    Cheers

Remove the loose tube and place a nipple over the vent on the canister.

I installed a nipple in the bottom of the air cleaner housing inside the filter. You can install it in the rear and run the hose along the fire wall out of sight. If you just plug the canister port, and the gas cap isn't vented (which it shouldn't be with that system), a driveability issue could be created due to lack of tank vent. I've seen vapor canisters come apart and fill carburetors with charcoal, and now that it will be installed inside the air filter instead of outside, install an inline fuel filter somewhere in the line between the canister and the carb.

Yeah - that sounds like a plan. Thanks!
