Hi all, I know its not a Buick, but cool movie car on display at the Detroit Auto show Here is one of the articles I found https://www.hagerty.com/articles-videos/articles/2018/01/14/mustang-bullitt-found-real-mcqueen I use to have a friend that would loop the chase scene for hours. Regards,
I was there Monday morning when we put it up on the platform next to the 2019. Thing sounds wicked awesome.
How close will the public be able to get to it? I'm thinking of visiting. This is it right? https://naias.com/tickets/
i want to touch it....i mean put my hand on it..as an unrestored ruff car..i want to touch its history...but i bet it isnt allowed...
Freudian Slippery Slope: Debbie: That's bitchin' tuck-and-roll! You know, I really love the feel of tuck-and-roll upholstery. Terry: Yeah? Well, get in and I'll let you feel it...I mean, you know, you can touch it...uh...I'll let you feel the upholstery. Whay an incredible story! They are still out there.... ws
I think it was Funny that there was an episode about the "Hidden Bullitt Car" done on Blue Bloods about a year ago, and now the True story comes out. I read something about it just the other day. JR
Two different cars. The one that was just found was the "stunt" car. Found in Mexico, is being restored.
Great story I like the fact the son has the same feeling about car as his dad Loved the just a Camaro under the cover part of the story For what we all consider a low miluage car that thing is the definition of rode hard and put away wet But very cool
If they let you touch it, you’ll want to sit in it. If they let you sit in it, you’ll want to drive it. I know I would. Patrick
Good to see this iconic car out in the public eye after so many years of secrecy. I do understand some of the reasoning behind the current owners reluctance to let it be known that they have it. They would have been pestered by everyone and their cousins with offers to buy and scammers to take advantage. I only wish they had done a better job of storing the car.
I like how the cars are speaking for themselves; no signs, electronic displays, props, or dancing girls sharing the stage. I have 2 words for the current owner. Thank you. Iconic "McQueen car" status aside, which would you rather drive away from the show in, a '68 or the '19?
Iconic status aside, if the '68 were nicely restored, I'd easily take it over the new one ('67-'68 fastbacks are just about the sweetest looking Mustangs ever made, I feel). But the '19 is AWESOME, too.
Oh, I wouldn't restore the car with the McQueen connection if I owned it, I'd leave it as it is....I'm saying if you took the Bullitt/McQueen thing away, I'd rather have the new one over a rusty '68 fastback. But if it was just a nicely restored '68 fastback, I'd rather have it over the new one.
