Looking for a pair of these if anyone has some extras kicking around or where I can find them. Thanks!
@Brett Slater Midwestern fasteners has these clamps in their catalog. Not sure of details but these guys supply the pull out drawers you find in hardware stores. I know O'Connors Hdw in Billerica has several drawers of options...if ya come Nahth from Taw-ton...
Ha! Thanks. @bostoncat68 - there's an old hardware store down here in the Silver City that I'm going to check out this weekend. Does anyone know the correct size of these?
I found them at Lowes. Fastnal also has a good selection of hardware for autos and a catalog if it is not a stocked item. (if you have those stores in your area) 1964 Skylark, 5/8" and 3/4"
Put "hose clamp" in thier search engine. And the wittek clamps suck, not CARS. You should get thier catalog. I bought new headrest escutcheons and sail panel courtesy light housings and lenses. Awesome
One problem I have found with the standard 5/8 and 3/4 is used ones sometimes do not clamp hard enough. The other problem is new 5/8 and 3/4 inch hose is thinner and the hose does not seal with even new clamps. I was thinking some one sold slightly smaller clamps for the new hose, maybe Cars, also I thought some one sold the old style thicker hose, maybe Corvette supplier.
There's nothing wrong with wittek clamps. There are cars running around with them that are 40-50 years old. The problem is the REPRO wittek clamps suck. They are thin, flimsy and not the same quality as originals. That said, I'm running the repros on my car and they are ok. You have to be real careful putting them on.
Here's the link to CARS- http://www.oldbuickparts.com/advanc...ds=hose+clamp&search_in_description=1&x=0&y=0
