Back in the early 80's Hot Rodding Magazine did a short piece on a show car 70 GSX
I want to remember it was a Apollo White one but not to sure?
This poor GSX had everything chromed, I mean everything and not the typical alternator and brake booster and engine compartment but
the whole suspension, upper and lower control arms, springs, shocks sway bars, drive shaft, rear axle etc, etc, etc.
You couldn't risk driving this car nor I would think ever keeping up with the polishing?
Has anyone ever seen this GSX? or is it still around in some members collection.:)

Fantastic and thank you..Then I guess I it was when I was in high school when I bought the magazine..:)
I did a quick look a the link, but before I go follow it completely did all the chrome stand up to time and help preserve it and was I wrong with everything plated underneath?

I was in the 10th or 11th grade also, thats pretty funny but I lost tons of a magazine collection when my Aunt decided to clean the basement when I was away on a vaca:(
A small note I didn't realize they had bar codes back in 78??

Last I heard, that car is now owned by Gerry Law, a board member from California.. I built a 625HP Stage 1 for it in about 2005. Painted the block yellow polished the alum heads and intake.. I will dig a picture of it out of the office computer here when I get a chance.

Actually a lot better looking than the red and yellow thing under the hood in those pictures, IMHO..

I think Gerry may now be back on the east coast. I believe Gerry is restoring this GSX which is a real stage 1 QQ.

The last time I saw Gerry was about 15 years ago. We were headed down I-40 in the Electric Banana. Let's say I am thankful the law was not around and no tires blew.:)

It made its way to Long Island at some point. Early 2000's? My neighbor's brother in law(?) owned it. Saw it at the local hang out a couple times. I marveled at it

I think that I still have a chrome radiator top plate. It may be from the Electric Banana.

Somewhere on this Board are more undercarriage pictures. Even the driveshaft was chrome. At car shows people would just lay under the car looking around.
