This is almost embarrassing, but how do you do it? After installing my newly re-chromed bumper I am now trying to reinstall the license plate bracket, and I am a bit perplexed? There has to be an easy way, so please fill me in!

Different years use different brackets. I know the stamped pattern is different, maybe the screw spacing is, too. Maybe you have the wrong bracket? What's the problem?

The 70 model bracket has a narrow spacing between the mounting bolts relative to a 71-72.

There is really no access to the bolt heads from behind?

The bolts go in from behind. You have to put a block of wood or something to overcome the spring and keep the door in the open position. Then you can go in through the filler opening.
