I found a "old MSD 8548 distrubutor for sale" (as advertised).. I am interested in buying it, but I am unfamiliar with MSD so I wanted to make sure it actually is as he claims. I will try to ad a pic of the distributor in question also. The thing that looks strange to me is this dizzy has a vacuum canister and the ones I have seen do not. Not being familiar with MSD and his claim it is a older model has lead me to check here 1st to either verify it is as he claims or its a regular hei with a MSD cap thrown on it. Anyone have or heard of a older MSD 8548 dizzy with a vacuum canister?? Thanks in advance for your help [/ATTACH][/ATTACH]
8548 is the MSD Pro Billet distributor for the SBB. It does not have a vacuum advance. How about a picture of the wiring connector, and a pic without the cap on. The ready to run distributor has a vacuum advance, but they only make that for the BBB. That is part number 8552. https://www.msdperformance.com/products/distributors/buick/parts/8552
Thanks Larry, I will request more pics..I have a feeling it isn't what he claims/thinks it is.. When looking at the pics it kinda looks like a points dizzy with a MSD cap thrown on it..
