Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and just purchased a 1968 Skylark. I have always wanted one and was lucky to find what I believe to be a great deal. I haven't seen the car yet as its currently being shipped to me from Michigan. I had my brother check it out for me. I super excited. Cant wait to roll up my sleeves and dig in. Tell me what you think and any advise you can offer would be great. <iframe width="854" height="480" src="" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Welcome> Hope yours is not as rusty as mine was. Did Frame-off. replace most of the car. Well worth it. love driving it.
Hey Daryl, I see you are in Marietta. I am in Canton. I have a 69 in process but almost went for the 68 for sale in Buford as a parts car. Good to see some local guys with these late 60s. Welcome from another new member!
Welcome from the other side of Atlanta! (Oxford, Ga). The video didn’t play but hopefully the whole car looks as good as the two pictures. Show us more when you get it. (I’d also like to see your ‘69 and ‘68 parts car, Bubba!) Stepchild Nation!! Patrick
Hey Patrick, that 68 was too pricey for me. It is in autotrader asking 14,500. I was thinking the interior might be very close to my 69 but no go. My 69 donor pic is on the thread I started while wet behind the ears.
Wow! I think I just found the ad for the ‘68 in Buford. ‘Dixie Dream Cars’-that’s a laugh. Dreamin’, smokin’, somethin’! (if this is it-he’s down to $8900 now, but...) http://dixiedreamcars.com/detail-1968-buick-skylark-grand_sport_gs_400-used-5780521.html Patrick
