interesting...never once heard of that show. Am familiar with The Rifleman, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Big Valley of the genre but never that.
The Rifleman, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Big Valley, Branded, Cheyenne, Rawhide, Daniel Boone, etc... Watched them all...
This series aired 1955 to 1963. I only remember it in black and white. We did not own a color TV during those years anyway.
Thanks for the link. Used to watch that in mid 60s when I was a little fart. I guess reruns at the time but I never knew. Good memories
That show plays every now and then on a local digital substation. Warner bros had Sugarfoot, Cheyene, Maverick, Bronco Lane on Thursday evenings in the late '50's on ABC. Remember them well. If I remember correctly, many years ago, Clint Walker was almost killed by a ski pole that pierced his heart, in a skiing accident.
We got our first TV - an Admiral, in 1955 . My mother got her first color TV as a retirement gift from her employer in 1968. The first color TV that the bride and I owned was in 1970. It was a Zenith and we kept it until about 1989. It worked perfectly right up 'til the bride nagged er, convinced me to replace it.
My Uncle Cecil in California was in construction. He told me that Clint Walker worked for him for a bit before he 'made it' in Hollywood. He told me he was as strong as an ox literally! He said he was a real nice guy and liked him a lot.
...Have Gun, Wanted Dead or Alive, Yancey Derringer...on and on...hard to get any homework done with all the cowboy shows... As for TV...1948, one family in neighborhood had one, went to their house to watch. For years, not much on, mostly test pattern. By early fifties, we had a Capehart TV...I remember how dad and I kept it going with a tube tester and a bag full of tubes. Not sure of year, but our first color TV was when Arthur Godfrey show was broadcast from Hawaii. Parents big fans.
