I just talked to the Chromer and the 10s are done and the 7s will be done next Thursday. Call me next week. 515-450-3446. Curt
how much to make a set of 15x14 standard steel wheels that take dog dish hub caps? Don't need them painted or powdercoated as I want to get them Hydro dipped.
Id be interested in a set of the 10 and 8 wide as long as you can make them with the 5x5 bolt pattern.
Any pictures of the 15x 10" Buick rally wheels on a 70/71 Skylark? I'll run 275 60 15 rubber on them.......5.5" backspace?? Just started scouring this section of the site as I'm in the process of ordering a set to be made up for the back of mine. Gonna leave the 15x7" on the front with 255 60 15 tyres
I don't have any side shots-car is at painter for a small paint issue at the moment or I would take a side pic for you-ride height is not stock-it is a little higher I believe-it is level on all four corners-27 1/2" from bottom of fender to the ground--front tire dia is 26.1 -235/60's and rear tire dia is 26.6
Thanks, further exploration in the threrads here have uncovered more pix and info, I think Im pretty safe to go with 15 x 10,getting my 15x7' centres removed and fitted to chromed rim bands and I think Ill go with trhe 5.5" backspace, thats whats on my 9" racing wheels with 275 60 15 MT ET Streets. I'll run 275 60 15 Galaxy tyres that I can get local off a guy that imports them, everything hear is dearer and then with the lousy Aussie dollar it wouldnt be worth importing a set of 15"x 10" wheels Just a pity we gotta cut up perfectlyt good 15 x 7" rally wheels to get the centres. Not many Buicks or parts DownUnder unfortunately. Just rang the only bloke here local who might have some damaged or rusty wheel that we can rat the centres out of but he knows of nothing. So its back to Plan A
A little more backspace and she will sit lower, much closer to stock height and the outer part of the wheel will fit inside the wheel well
Numerous board members waited years for rims to be completed and were jerked around the entire time. He held my money hostage for at least a year and wouldn't return my calls or emails. Of course he was the nicest, most responsive guy you'd ever talk to when he is selling his "service". He eventually returned me poor quality rims with bad chrome that started rusting almost immediately. Without question my dealings with that guy was the worst I've ever had with a vendor. Actually i'm not sure calling him a vendor is proper...
