Will anyone from the Board attend the Syracuse Nationals this weekend? It would be great to put faces with names and talk Buicks! UticaGeoff
yeah , Friday I'm hoping . i want to check out swap meet stuff , figured Friday might be better overall . Saturday is my crap weather back-up day . have to meet a guy from Utica at nat's ( sam , BBC chevelle quick fuel carb adjustment ) and maybe scoot up to b-ville to check on a carb I sold to a guy up there in case he's got it on and running ?
BVille? That’s my home town. Who’d you sell the carb too ? Ken M and Keith D will be here Thursday-Sunday, with Saturday being the day all of us are going. The weather forecast just had a big improvement today. The swap meet usually sucks, but you never know. There might be survivor 70 GSX Stage 1 4-speed car from Rochester, NY there. The car recently changed hands from the original owner (health issues, I think) and it has less than 20k miles. I was second in line for the purchase, but it never got that far. 8,000+ cars, but they lost a good chunk of real estate when a new, very large convention center broke ground this winter.
we were going to the melt down drags, but pet issues came up and took a big cut of funds. we, the dragster, also got invited to Syracuse. the dragster will be inside the gasoline alley building/artie's party group. will be Thursday after lunch.
bob - sold the carb to a guy named chad that works at 84 lumber . just a basic 600 that's going on some kinda truck or jeep I think he said . he might not even have it on yet , have not heard back from him . and speaking of b-ville : did you go to high school there ? I am kinda lookin for someone I went to college with , she graduated from b-ville in '74 . if you are old enough to remember 1974 !
Gotta be more members going! I'll be there Fri and Sat. Sat I'll be with Bob, Ken, and Keith. UticaGeoff
Lots of stuff going on this time of year . I think street machine Nat's in BG this weekend . Or something like that .
Del, 84 Lumber is just around the corner from my shop. I don’t know Chad. I graduated from BVille in ‘82. I still may know your friend. PM me a name if you’d like.
The Indian Village itself was roped off today - no entry. Lots of space lost with the new convention center too. See you all tomorrow - UticaGeoff
Hmmm , gasoline alley , where was that ? I walked steady for 6+ hours ( except for waiting in line for 20 minutes to order food ) . I'm sure I missed some things . Never got a chance to check out any of the stuff in the buildings .
Johnny - Didn't know what car was yours. I hung around Gasoline Alley wearing a Buick shirt for quite a while. Sorry UticaGeoff
