Evening all. 18 months ago I purchased rubber floor mats for the Suncoupe. They arrived just fine. I only used them a few times when displaying at shows, the rest of the time they were stored in the trunk. They turned green in a few months. I tried Simple Green, Dawn and Westley's bleach white. This green film just won't come off. This weekend I was in the right mood and called OPGI. They put me on hold for a few minutes, came back on the line and gave me a return authorization number. Agreed to swap em out, no problem. Of course return shipping is on me, but they are 18 months old. If they would have covered shipping, the title of this thread would be 2 thumbs up for OPGI. By the way, my trunk is bone dry.
Believe it or not thats soybean based rubber. The state has started to use that mixed with cinders for icy traction on the farm roads around here and after a rain, the roads have a greenish tint... ws https://www.google.com/search?q=soy...rome..69i57.3299j0j8&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
Good on them for taking the return. There is a lot to say for one a business that will take care of you, that’s how you get return customers.
Good question. I was told a few years back that the price of petroleum is what jacked the tire prices up. Then petroleum prices came down and to no surprise, tire prices did not. Then, I find out they are using a different tire manufacturing process that uses less petroleum in tires and the prices still don't come down. Guy at tire store says "new process is expensive...". Just another bend over and grab your ankles excuse to keep prices high.
I bought a set of those in black also and they have 'browned out' twice. I have have been able to bring them back to like new with Armor All when it happens. I hope your replacement set it trouble free.
