I've read a number of posts of aftermarket A/C installs. Has anyone done one recently? Just looking for how it went. I'd really like to go with either classic or vintage air setups. From what I've read the Pontiac or Olds systems work best in our cars.

I'm not sure if I should got with one of the Mk4 underdash unit's or try and adapt one of the sure fit ones.

I have a 1970s vintage knee-knocker evaporator sitting in the garage. Runs ice cold. I took it out of my car about 20 years ago. Want it?

Thanks Brad, I'm thinking of going all new. Adapting a sure fit seems like the route I'll take.

I was told that the Olds version adapts to our 70-72 cars the best since the control panel is closer to the Buick. Also was told Then and Now have installed them in a couple Buicks and they have the necessary pieces, but I have not contacted them to find out for sure.I want to put Vintage Air in my back half car eventually
