    hello v8,

Just got my fuel tank vent valve in from opgi. Small plastic piece . Of course like many things it doesn’t have installation instructions. How do I install this myself so I can save money. Without this piece I have no fuel vapor venting system! Any help appreciated .

    Thanks ,

Kyle, that's the white plastic piece with the three hose connections? If you look at the upper right hand corner of your tank, you'll see two hose connections and two hoses running up towards the trunk floor. The white plastic piece attaches to the two hoses. It gets held in place by a small metal bracket which is in turn held in place by a small screw

This one has the hoses attached-

    And this is the bracket-

That’s the piece yes! So I need the bracket before I begin then. Will it be a mess to do or the gas won’t come out?

Looks like to the frame somewhere with one tapped hole.

Don't look for problems. Only deal with them as they arise.....;)

I'll look tomorrow to find out where it mounts. How did you arrive at the new purchase?

My piece went missing somehow and so I plugged it for a little while. But the pressure builds up and cuts off the gas to the engine , so stalling after short drives and every bit I would need to open my gas cap to release the pressure. Psssst is the sound that makes haha!

Here a photo from the manual. Passenger side of tank opposite end from filler. Sorry about the quality of the photo.

I can’t see from the photo too good, where does the clip of the mounting piece attach to? It looks like the screw part goes into the gas strap? Sorry the visibility is bad

I'll try again. Not the strap for sure. Looks to be a sheet metal vertical piece.

How does that bracket you sent me the link for attach to the hose itself?
