I see he just got another mint original paint 1966 GS hardtop.
From the looks of it he's alive and kicking...

Unfortunatly this has happened on here before. A guy wholly misrepresenting a car. 20' photos were taken and sold as a nice rust free car. A board member bought it and when he received it, it was a rust bucket. The guy complained about it on here and the seller disappeared for 6-8 Months. He came back little by little and is now back to selling things like nothing happened.
You have to realize where you are. A public forum on the internet. Anybody can join with a screen name. They can put anything they want in the profile page. They can claim they have Three Buicks when in reality they're in a junkyard he owns. Which is fine if he's above board about it. It doesn't matter how much backslapping or glad handing they do on here, you have to keep your eyes open. I bought a car from a member on here and didn't send him a Dime before I could look at it. It turned out to be just as he claimed and am happy with the purchase.
I'm sorry that you had to go through this Bob, just keep your eyes open. Jimmy will probably be back. Either under a different name or the same name hoping that the storm has blown over. All of us on here have to be aware of what is happening and inform each other if we suspect something is odd.

No disputing the facts....Hey Bob why haven't you put up all the complete texts from start to finish on your transaction. So we can judge, be transparent here.
You reneged and settled it for $500, and I quote "what is done is done". In your own words. I haven't seen that posted.
I know someone who offered to take that car off your hands for close if not all of what you paid. And you refused ? Huh.

Bob if you would have flown out to check the car, I bet Mr 66 would have taken the price of that plane ticket right off the top of the car.
And if you were not happy with it, he would have paid you're way home GUARANTEED...

Crazy how that car just got totaled too. Any picks of the crash scene posted ? Id like to see that one...

 

John I have put up almost all the text for the last year we have discussed the car. the $500 was when there was one tiny hole (his words)in the lower quarter panel not an entire rusted-out quarter panel, trunk floor and everything else. I'm not going to dispute this with you because you're just Jimmies friend and I don't expect you to see things any differently than he does. I've been upfront and honest about everything from the beginning unlike your buddy which leads me to believe you're probably just like him.

Now that you mention it the back of that car was flattened. Not a hint of a curve from a bumper. I was shocked that he made no mention of an attempt to chase the guy either. You don't have to beat the guy but could probably get a plate number and call the cops.

Holy smokes! The thread that had all the pics and repair estimate is gone too. That raises an eyebrow..

 

So you're accusing the buyer of a fraudulent act to take the focus off your gross misrepresentation. Piece of work.
