......how odd the neighbors think it is: I'm out in the driveway in the pitch black, garage doors open, Ozzy Crazy Train on the radio, 30 pack of Bud Lite on the floor, and I'm waxing the F100 for the 3rd time this month....because it's 60+ degrees out with no wind and there's no telling how many more nights like this I've got left before it's too cold this year....
I just came inside-I’m less ambitious than you, but was sitting in a folding chair in the driveway, listening to Live Evil. Tab Beniot, Kiss, and Albert King before that. Beer, JBL speakerthingy, and phone on the hood of the GS next to me. So no, I wouldn’t think you’re weird. Just a little ‘busy’. Patrick
Roy, if you and the lady ever want to come hang out for a day or two, I'll stock the fridge. But bring the LeSabre
Here it would be business as usual. Nothing I do at anytime of the day or night surprises my neighbors including burn outs in the middle of the road. However, I only have 6 neighbors and they are scattered over 160 acres through thick woods. But if a open header big block roars at 11PM they dont get excited.
Hahahhahaa.....I'm the same sometimes the perfect so cal weather is too good.. but it will be a LP of black Sabbath and Modelo..too funny. It's 630 in the morning and I'm headed to the garage myself.
Have a good successful day out there buddy. I'm gonna hop in my overly and freshly polished "turd" and head a couple towns over for some self serve avgas this morning for the Mach 1 to drink. Supposed to be 70 degrees and 0% chance of rain, so going to get the good stuff out today
It is 59* and cloudy, but I ventured out this morning at 10 am (55*) to a local cruize-in and got some swag (t-shirt, "Corvette" coffee/tea cut) + hot dog, pop and chips free.
If I bring the LeSabre I have a feeling I'll be hitchhiking home lol I'll take u up on that offer sometime thou
Well Lucas, the only thing I would find weird is that the 30 pack is sitting on the ground and not in a fridge or on ice..................unless you drink it all before it gets warm. Then, you'd have another problem we should talk about.
I get that feeling a bunch.. I all too often have both garage doors open in suburbia with Pandora blasting doing something. Neighbors walking their dog wave from the sidewalk asking "what are you working on this time" since I am now known as the old car guy. Or just that odd guy out there washing his vehicles by hand. I got lucky and my neighbors don't care, and I keep the noisy operations in tune with daylight hours. Mostly..
Back in the old race days we used to do engine swaps in my carport with cold adult beverages and a lot of "Dr. Hook" on the stereo till 3:00 AM. The neighbors wives wouldn't let them come to complain, they usually forgot why they came over and they would join us. Bob H.
That reminds me of why my sister stopped bringing her boy friends home to the house. They'd nearly always end up with me out in the garage / barn wrenching on something. It got to the point where they would come over to hang with me instead.
I probably was. Several of her girl friends would sneak into my room during a sleep over. Hope I never end up running for any public office. I'd never get the job!
