Hi Folks, Restoring a 1969 Buick Skylark Convertible. Original 350 was stuck so we're rebuilding a 350 from a 1970 Skylark. Going well but I need an oil pan. The 1969 had a small rust hole in it and the 1970 has a crack by the oil drain. No repro made yet! So before I decide to have one of them welded, does anyone have a decent pan to sell? Thanks!
I can check - sold a couple a little while ago but I may still have a spare . pics may be on here somewhere , had a pan for sale with some other stuff awhile ago . where ya located ?
I have one - already blasted and cleaned, but out of town for work and only home on weekends. Pm if interested Dave S dona Ana NM
hi . should probably save it but yeah have one extra . it was solid but had surface rust , inside metal was "reddish" from air contact but ok . gasket rails look good . I ground down the out side and applied fiberglass resin and mat over the whole surface to give it an extra coat of protection . my next step is to sand it down a little and give it a quick coat of paint . probably should look ok . I took a couple phone pics a minute ago , if you PM me your cell# I can send them if interested . truthfully I would check out newmexguy's pan . down there that could be good n solid and worth a few extra bucks in shipping . no problem either way . let me know . thanks .
I sent him a PM Should know by the weekend. I'm really not a fan of the fiberglass thing but I hear it can protect well. I'll keep you posted! Thanks!
Hi Fred, Do you have pictures of it and is it solid? Any damage? Drain Plug ok? Please let me know Thanks, Joe
