In the car's current condition I'd say 8 to 10 grand max, non-matching numbers and it needs a lot of panel replacement.
It doesn’t mention if it has the original TH400,but it sounds like everything else is period-correct but NOT number-matching.
Thank God my car isn't at that stage of life any more. Because if I was to buy it, it would have to come with a zippered pouch containing $50k for the restoration.
It's okay not bashing the car I would love to have it, I'm only pointing out how poor I am for this hobby that I love so much. Didn't mean to come across the other way, although I can see how that would sound.
I'm sure the 70 triple black stage one could be a beautiful car again one day although in its current condition I do not think the car will bring a Lotta money in this condition. Does anybody know the exact breakdown of how many 70 double black bench seat cars Stage 1 were made ?

Depends what other parts he has and how bad the floors are. Fenders, RH inner fender and a nice '70 core support are worth some $ regardless. Would be a fun one to to put a built drivetrain in and thrash.
George DeMontrond still has numerous Dealerships in the Houston area, but not at the old Kirby location. If the 1 Black car w/o vinyl top & 4SPD. is the 1 I think it is, it is still under Original Ownership in Youngstown Ohio. Owner is the Son of a School Teacher @ the Rayen High School & Chofin Vocational, that bought a 70 SS 454 New about the same time. (He has since passed away & I can't remember his name The GS is rarely brought out, except to go to local events, & "Ice Cream runs" with Grand kids. I have seen it a couple of times @ "Cruisin The River" , in Lowellville Ohio. JR
160 Black GS 455 coupes were built at the Flint plant in 1970. Keeping that in mind, deductive reasoning would surmise that there weren't too many black ones ordered with the Stage 1 option. I'd venture a guess of somewhere in the double digit area.
