not my car Norm, I posted it as a lead, you or your friend will need to contact the owner through the Craigslist ad.
Wasn’t this one discussed before? I seem to remember the missing rocker trim and the stripe alignment at the rear quarter... Patrick
the build sheet is worth a billion if it matches the car... Wonder if it originally was a big block or small block converted to 455?
Without paperwork you can't be 100% sure. But, if the hidden VIN on the frame, under the driver's seat on the top rail, is numbers matching, you can check if the frame is a 350 or 455 part number. Again, not 100% but it is something that can be checked. Troy
I want a Big Block 71 GSX and have looked at one that had many of the "clues" that it was a GSX but no paperwork. Unfortunately, I will need to have paperwork to justify the GSX price tag. I love 71 cars but they are a bitch to document.
Yes the Build Sheet is the key needed for 70-71 cars, records are incomplete for both years, which is why a POP or build sheet or window sticker invoices are priceless, 1972 records are available from Sloan. One would assume ,this guy with this GSX would know well enough about these issuesif hes the owner ( maybe flipper) that I feel hes skirting the obvious for a reason(s). 1. It can't be authenticated 2. Its a 350 car to start with 3. Both 1 & 2
I've actually know the guy and have seen the car. It was bought from now and then in Georgia then he did the restoration . I've never seen the build sheet but I'm certain it's the real deal.
